Why can't Muslims attend Hindu festival celebrations?

India actor, Salman Khan, attended a Ganesha celebration in Mumbai. This was not liked by some Muslim religious leaders. They issued a fatwa against Salman Khan calling his act anti-Islam. Does Islam prohibit Muslims to participate in functions of other religions or it is yet another attempt to misinterpret Islamic teachings? I believe Islam does not prohibit this. It is only to isolate Muslims from joining national mainstream.

Whenever I pass in front of a Temple, Mosque, Church or a Gurudwara I bow my head. All these are the house of God. They remind me about God so that I can pray to Him.

Do you also feel the same way?

People of any religion can attend Hindu festival celebrations. Those who see wrong in this are advocates of hate and violence in the name of religion.

You people are very ignorant on Islam, Islam does not allow any other religion but Islam, there is no God but Allah and prophet Muhamed as his apostle.

This is one of the reason, even the kafar nanny ( non muslim maid ) is not employed by muslims. Leave the bible aside, Santa clause iamge is not allowed in saudi/kuwait/qatar.

Read the muslim shahada then come back and throw yr garbage on this forum, saying that Islam allowes muslims to worship other gods. In fact its called a kufr/shirk, and the punishment is the hell reserved for such action.

God says in the Qur'an, "Verily whosoever sets up partners in worship with God, then God Has forbidden paradise for him and the fire will be his abode" The Qur'an, Chapter 5, Verse 72

Muslims are to put their trust in Allah only. And ask only His help. And not ask any man's or any saint's help who is alive or who is dead in the grave (except prophet muhamed).
